June 8th - August 28th
This is a Chief of Staff internship reporting directly to the CEO, in which you will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a startup and learn how to execute in the realms of fundraising, product management, and company growth.
Your Mission
Work closely with the CEO to drive company-wide initiatives, assisting in everything from high-level strategy to the tactical execution of the fundraising process.
Develop a deep understanding of a startup's operational lifecycle by conducting market research, preparing funding applications, and learning agile product development principles.
The Ideal Candidate
Optimal Work Schedule: Able to work primarily in-person 4 days a week (Monday–Thursday, no Fridays!). Expected to be generally available via Slack or phone during work hours of 8 AM to 5 PM PT. We value output and learning over being online just for the sake of it.
Highly Organized & Proactive: Ready to attend executive meetings, take meticulous notes, and independently research industry trends, competitors, and potential investors.
Avid Learner: Eager to consume industry knowledge—from books like The Lean Startup and Inspired to podcasts like How I Built This and Lenny's Podcast—and apply it directly to real-world business challenges.
Strategic Communicator: Comfortable conducting outreach, drafting presentations, and preparing reports for internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., VC funds, angel syndicates).
Core Focus Areas & Curriculum
Startup Operations: Gain a foundational understanding of entrepreneurship and optimal business practices.
Fundraising & Investor Relations: Learn the venture capital landscape, research specific funds (thesis, check size, location), organize investor pipelines, and prepare pitch timelines and FAQs.
Product Management: Understand the agile product development process and how to effectively explain the fitness/tech business to stakeholders.
Benefits
Direct mentorship from the CEO and exposure to the broader startup ecosystem.
A structured 12-week learning and execution plan that progresses from onboarding and operations education to deep-dive research, investor outreach, and final collaborative projects.
Flexible time-off policy (take the time you need, just communicate and send calendar invites in advance).
Possibility for future projects and employment upon program completion.
